Welcome to art! The DHBMS art curriculum follows the Connecticut content standards. Students will understand, select, and apply media techniques and processes, utilizing the elements and principles of art. They consider range of subject matter, symbols, and ideas. They learn how visual arts relate to history and other cultures. They will learn to evaluate their own work and other's work and will make connections between the visual arts and other disciplines.

All fifth and sixth grade students meet with me for one period once a week for Library Skills. We spend about 15-20 minutes doing library skills and the remainder of the period is used to find and sign out books. The seventh and Eighth grade students may come to the library with their teacher to find books for pleasure or book reports and also to do research for a class project. All students may come to the library the last period of the day with a pass from their teacher.
The library is open from 8:00 - 8:25 each morning. Students are required to get a pass from the morning duty teacher in order to come to the library from morning recess.
