When a child's behavior is not consistent with the behavior outlined within the Classroom Rules and is disruptive to the learning environment...
1. The child will receive 1 warning. These may be verbal or nonverbal. After the first warning, the child's name will be written on the board to serve as a visual cue to re-focus their behavior and do their personal best.
2. Upon the 2nd disruption, a check will be placed next to the child's name and the child will be provided a "Time to Think" sheet. This form will provide the student with the opportunity to reflect on the behavior, and make a plan for change. Upon completion, the student will have a conversation with the teacher showing that they are ready to do their best. The form will be signed by the student and teacher, and will be taken home and shared with the child's family. it is to be signed and returned to school the next school day. if a sheet is not returned to school and phone call will be made home.
3. If there is a 3rd disruption, the child will receive a 60 minute detention
